What Are We?

Our Mission
The mission of the Immigration Archives is to document, preserve, and share the valuable stories of those who made the difficult decision to leave their homelands. By turning the stories into a library, they collectively tell the powerful lessons learned through immigration. In a time where public media often uses cultural diversity as a way to tear communities apart, it is more important than ever to emphasize how cultural diversity can bring people together. A project for all, this exercise is especially geared towards youths to stimulate discussions about immigration with loved ones. This intergenerational component is what makes the Immigration Archives especially unique: beyond bridging cultural divides, it strengthens connections within families. In doing so, the project creates a shared sense of identity and continuity across generations, honoring the past while shaping a more empathetic future.
